Bhartha Mahasayulaki Wignyapthi, released in theatres on January 13, has successfully attained break-even, said producer Sudhakar Cherukuri in his first-ever post-release interview. Produced by his banner, SLV Cinemas, the family entertainer features Ravi Teja in the lead.
"Across Andhra, our film has already attained break-even. This is a long weekend and so, it's going to get better. Along with Nizam, the remaining areas will also break even by the end of the week," the producer added, adding that distributors and buyers are in a happy space.
Shot in 65 days, the Kishore Tirumala directorial co-stars Dimple Hayathi and Ashika Ranganath. "Our intention from the start was to bring a good family entertainer for the festival, rather than a regular Ravi Teja style film. The audience is enjoying it immensely. We hope to make more films like this," he says.
The producer has a movie lined up with Megastar Chiranjeevi. It will be directed by Dasara fame Srikanth Odela. "It will be a period-based narrative. I will be doing a love story directed by Kishore Tirumala," Sudhakar Cherukuri adds. He is currently bankrolling The Paradise, which is 60% done. "The entire film is being canned on sets. The output is extraordinary," he adds.
