Anil Ravipudi has had a 100% strike rate. All the nine films he has helmed so far have made profits. However, F3's success was not on the expected lines. It barely attained break-even in some territories despite a Summer release. While F3 was a sequel to F2, it was a standalone sequel rather than a direct narrative continuation.
The Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu maker believes that he shouldn't have done overthinking in the case of F3. The story of F3 should have been a continuation of F2. It should have begun from where F2 ended. "I should have used the same characters and backgrounds. Had I written it that way, F3 would have been a bigger hit," Anil recently said.
Anil Ravipudi is going to apply this lesson to Sankranthiki Vasthunam 2, whenever it gets made. The hero of his next movie is a matter of speculation. He is aiming for a Sankranthi 2027 release.
