The trailer for Andhra King Taluka doesn't hint at unexpected twists and turns. It seems to be a human story told in a commercial mould. The male lead (Ram Pothineni) is your average 'chillar' guy whose irrational adoration for Surya (a matinee idol played by Upendra) proves to be self-destructive. Or, so it would seem.
The coming-of-age tale should ideally offer a commentary on the hero-worship culture prevalent in our society. The involvement of a local politician in the hero-fan equation seems to be a trigger for some extraordinary event.
Andhra King Taluka is directed by Mahesh Babu P of Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty fame. With music by the Vivek-Mervin duo, it features Bhagyashri Borse (she is your average commercial cinema female lead who moons over an unemployed youth with no redeemable qualities) as the heroine. Rahul Ramakrishna, the friend from Arun Reddy, is making a comeback after a hiatus. Rao Ramesh and Murali Sharma, VTV Ganesh and Satya are also seen.
Andhra King Taluka is scheduled to hit the cinemas on November 27.
