'Indian 2' is now twenty minutes shorter. The 3-hour-long film has now been reduced to 160 minutes.
The decision was taken on Day 2 (Saturday) after assessing the feedback from social media users, critics, and distributors.
It is learned that the Calendar Song has been done away with. The dance number, shot on models and Gulshan Grover, is an impediment and takes the zing out of Senapathy's introduction scene.
Directed by Shankar, the film is produced by Lyca Productions. On Day 1, it grossed Rs 55 Cr at the box office, with Rs 10 Cr coming from the Telugu version in the Telugu States. The Telugu version had the advantage of a hiked ticket price. In multiplexes in Nizam, the price is Rs 350 per ticket. This is much higher than the trending rates in Chennai.
