Rattatataav from Funky may be energetic but it is anything but celebratory. Vishwak Sen's lover boy character is sorry that his love interest, played by Kayadu Lohar, just had a fallout with him. Picking a singer like Ram Miriyala, who is best known for happy numbers, lends this situational song a distinct appeal. Music director Bheems Ceciroleo weaves a booming score around rhyming lines involving words like 'Jallikattu' and 'Panipattu'. Dev Pawar is the lyricist. Since the male lead is a film director and the female lead comes from a higher socio-economic background, the power dynamics between them are going to feel different.
Speaking at the song launch event, Vishwak shared that the audience have always embraced him whenever he acted in the right kind of movies. "Funky is coming out a full year after my previous release (Laila was released on 14 February 2025). With Funky, I have hit a reset button. This 130-minute picture will definitely entertain you," he added.
Funky, directed by Anudeep KV, will head to theatres on February 13.
