Ahead of the theatrical release of Gandhi Talks on January 30, its primary actors have made a statement - without uttering a word in its trailer. Vijay Sethupathi and Aditi Rao Hydari play a romantic pair, but theirs is not a regular union. Arvind Swami is part of an emotional narrative. There is a political plot involving corruption and bureaucratic red tape.

Director Kishore Pandurang Belekar is confident that AR Rahman's smooth music will be the speech everyone will like to hear.

“The film challenged me to express emotion without words," the Vikram and Super Deluxe actor shared, adding that Gandhi Talks is where the strongest dialogue comes in the form of, well, silence. By the looks of it, the film finds its strength in stillness. Echoing the perception, Arvind Swami adds, "It is a cinematic rarity where words are surrendered so that truth may emerge, find its breath, and speak through the profound resonance of Rahman’s compositions." The film, as per Aditi, is a masterclass in how vulnerability is portrayed without melodrama. The emotions are allowed to breathe in. The film could be a reminder that the most hit-home moments are felt in the chest, not heard in the ears.

Produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Rajesh Kejriwal, Kishor Pandurang Belekar, and Meera Chopra, the film's cinematography is by Karan B. Rawat. The Production Design is by Durgaprasad Mahapatra. Neetu Bharadwaj, Priyanka Dubey, and Kavitha have designed the costumes. The Sound Design is by Justin Jose.

"Not every story needs words. Some are meant to be felt. This time, the screen doesn’t talk. It makes you listen," wrote the makers, sharing the trailer for Gandhi Talks. Artistic and philosophical, the silent film promises to be non-preachy and yet arresting.
