In this tale, I am that warrior." Such a high-voltage intro to Sangeeth Shoban's character! Wait!! He is most definitely not that textbook saviour in Raakaasaa. With Sangeeth around, self-deprecation humour is par for the course. In the upcoming fantasy comedy, to be released in theatres on April 3, the MAD and MAD Square actor squarely enters an atmospheric yet comedic zone.
The film's glimpse hints at a sincere craft. Just because this is a comedy, special effects don't seem to have been given a raw deal. "This is going to be a fresh concept and a new-age narrative. While staying contemporary and presenting a novel point, Sangeeth's new side will be explored," the makers said.
"Strange signs. Unusual events. And a world that doesn’t follow normal rules," Pink Elephant Pictures and Z Studios wrote, sharing the glimpse.
The ensemble lineup includes Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Pokiri fame Ashish Vidyardhi, and Jabardasth comedian Getup Srinu. The film also stars Sukwinder Singh, Annapurnamma, Anoop Singh Takur, Ramana Bhargav, Amrutham fame Vasu Inturi, Jabardasth Rohini, and Master Rohan from #90’s (web series). Music director Anudeep Dev, cinematographer Raju Edurolu, and editor Anwar Ali have worked on the movie. Ramanjaneyulu and Pulla Vishnu Vardhan are the production designer and art director, respectively. Sandhya Sabbavarapu is the costume designer.
