The teaser for Swayambhu was unveiled today in Hyderabad. An event film to be released also in Chinese, Spanish and Arabic languages, the period epic fantasy seems to be inspired heavily by Baahubali.

Nikhil Siddhartha defended the delay in the movie's release. He said that some spectacles were given an unforgiving verdict by the audience when their makers compromised on the quality of VFX. Therefore, the team behind Swayambhu is steering clear of such a mistake.

The makers of the Summer 2026 release justified the delay (the film was originally planned to be released at least 18 months back) on the grounds that perfection has been their priority. "Expect epic shots! The number of such shots is so high that we could cut fifteen teasers," the Karthikeya actor shared.

Director Bharat Krishnamachari said that Swayambhu is more than about the Sengol, a young warrior, and a bloody civil war. The story takes place around a millennium ago.

Shot in 2D, the film will be converted into 3D. Cinematographer KK Senthilkumar stated that shooting directly in 3D involves huge costs and lots of limitations. Besides the cinematography and the VFX, the team is also counting on Ravi Basrur's music. "He has worked on Toxic and Swayambhu simultaneously. He is on the top of his game. His creativity flows like water," the director added.

How come Swayambhu is aiming for release in foreign languages? Nikhil claimed that producers Bhuvan and Sreekar have received an offer from the Chinese distribution sector. If Squid Game and other foreign-language shows are accepted by Indians, the other way is also desirable, the hero shared.

Actress Samyuktha Menon shares the screen space with Nikhl and others. "Even before my entry, the scale of the project grew bigger and bigger," the actress said. Nabha Natesh, Subbaraju and Sunil have prominent roles.
