Double meaning lyrics: Ravi Teja, Naga Vamsi offer controversial views

In recent days, a song from Mass Jathara has received flak for featuring in-your-face lyrics. The criticism has come to the notice of Ravi Teja, the film's hero. In a promotional chit-chat, the actor defended the song and further made an interesting observation.

"Many times, I notice that songs with actual double-meaning language go unnoticed. Nobody criticizes them. But they single out only some songs, which are actually not problematic," the Mass Maharaja actor said. At this, producer S Naga Vamsi revealed that the Mass Jathara song has been a favourite of distributors. "A distributor from Ceded has asked me not to change the lyrics of the Mass Jathara song because they are confident that the audience will enjoy it in theatres," Naga Vamsi said.

The Ravi Teja-Vamsi duo also touched upon other recent controversial songs. "When Dabidi Dibidi from Daaku Maharaaj was released, there was a hue and cry on social media. Contrary to the online chatter, that song was played at all the Sangeets I happened to attend. Women themselves danced to the song. What is all this 'women empowerment' debate about when Urvashi Rautela did that song being fully aware of what it was about?" Naga Vamsi asked. "When the Kurchi Madathapetti song was released from Guntur Kaaram, many trolled asking how come a movie from the Trivikram-Mahesh Babu duo had such a song. This segment is small. The majority just enjoy it," the producer added.
