Balakrishna's sensational comment: 'Heroes are absent on sets'

Nandamuri Balakrishna has made a bold comment, taking a swipe at his colleagues in the film industry. Mincing no words and potentially dissolving his growing goodwill among the fans of other heroes, the Daaku Mahaaraj actor said that, in the age of larger-than-life spectacles, technology has been used rampantly and that the use of green matte/blue matte is making it possible for actors to be absent from sets. He then added that he is original and not a duplicate.

In recent years, especially thanks to Aha's Unstoppable With NBK (the talk show), Balakrishna has endeared himself to the fan bases of other actors. However, his latest comment moves away from that image. It's important to speak the truth, but the tone and intent matter.

Balakrishna awaits the theatrical release of Akhanda 2 on December 5. The Boyapati Sreenu directorial has Aadhi Pinisetty and Kabir Duhan Singh in different roles. Samyuktha is its female lead.
