Is Jr NTR more pan-Indian than Ram Charan? It's essential to compare the journeys of the two actors beyond the Telugu boundaries, for they both set out to go pan-Indian with the same film, at once. 'RRR' launched them on the national stage three years ago.
Where are the two actors standing today? Jr NTR is more sought-after than Ram Charan. Tarak is doing or is going to do films with directors from Bollywood ('War 2'), Kollywood (his scheduled film with director Nelson Dhilipkumar), and Sandalwood (his imminent project to be directed by 'KGF' maker Prashanth Neel). This is besides his 'Devara 2' with the Telugu director, Koratala Siva.
On the other hand, Ram Charan's filmography is yet to acquire a similar level of versatility. 'Game Changer' has been delayed more than 'Devara'. And his post-'GC' movie will be directed by a Telugu filmmaker, Buchi Babu Sana. Two years back, in an interview, Charan said that he will be teaming up with Lokesh Kanagaraj and Prashanth Neel. These two directors are not working with him. And Charan's announced film with director Sukumar is not going to take off, given how slow Sukumar is with things; the director could discard this project in favour of 'Pushpa 3' should 'Pushpa 2' become a blockbuster.
