Kamal Haasan is one of those rare actors who always updates himself with film related knowledge and never gets tired of trying out new concepts. In this line this legendary actor is now all set to learn Kathak at the age of 57. He is basically a classical dancer right from his childhood. The main reason to learn Kathak now is for the character that he is portraying in his latest film ‘Vishwaroopam’. He’s a perfectionist, right! Remember he won the national award for his performance as a classical dancer in K Vishwanath’s ‘Sagara Sanghamam’. And now he is directing ‘Vishwaroopam’, in which he is portraying the role of an Afghanistan terrorist.
In the words of Kamal, “It’s true that I’m learning Kathak from Birju Maharaj because that dance is a part of ‘Vishwaroopam’. Infact I wanted to learn Kathak for quite a long time and my wish is getting fulfilled now. I’m very happy about that.”
