Ravi Teja initially stated that he was against his son Mahadhan's acting debut at such a young age in the film Raja The Great (2017), where Mahadhan played the younger version of Ravi Teja's character. However, he eventually gave his nod due to the insistence of the film's director, Anil Ravipudi.

In his latest chit-chat with director Venky Atluri, Ravi Teja iterated that he has let his son decide when he wants to debut (as a lead actor). "I don't tell him to do this, not to do that. His sister (Mokshadha) is there to guide him," the Mr. Bachchan actor said.

A few years ago, when asked about Mahadhan's potential acting debut in a lead role or his overall film career, Ravi Teja has indicated that he is not planning anything yet and prefers to let things happen naturally. Mahadhan has also been reported to be focusing on working behind the camera, assisting as an associate director on a film.

Ravi Teja awaits the theatrical release of Mass Jathara on October 31.
