Prabhas' birthday (October 23) will witness the re-release of two of his movies. Pournami, directed by Prabhu Deva, was confirmed for re-release recently. On Wednesday, the re-release of Salaar was announced.
"One man. One rage. One more time. Witness Rebelstar Prabhas back in action as Salaar. Grand Re-Release Worldwide on 23rd October 2025 as Prabhas Birthday Special," the makers wrote. The action drama co-stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Shruti Haasan and others. Its music is by Ravi Basrur.
Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, is produced by Hombale Films. Over six months after its original release in 2023, the banner entered into a three-film deal with Prabhas. Salaar 2 is one of them. The other two films will reportedly be directed by Prasanth Varma and Hanu Raghavapudi. While Salaar 2 might happen sooner than later, the other two will take several years to materialize.
