Santhana Prapthirasthu, released in theatres this Friday, has been received as a "good family entertainer", said producer Madhura Sreedhar Reddy. His film, directed by Sanjeev Reddy, satisfies the audience's appetite for a vulgarity-free, wholesome entertainer. A success tour is being planned early next week, especially with elders among the audience connecting with the content.

In a post-release 'thank you' speech, Sreedhar iterated that Santhana Prapthirasthu is one of the most acclaimed family movies in the league of Little Hearts and Aay. Across territories, the Vikranth-Chandini Chowdary movie is a hit. "Positive reports continue to pour in from Nizam, Vijayawada, Vizag, Rajahmundry, Ongole and everywhere else," the producer, who has previously made acclaimed hits like Sneha Geetham, said. Film critics, too, have lapped up the movie, which has comedy tracks involving the male lead-Abhinav Gomatam duo, and the versatile Vennela Kishore. Muralidhar Goud of DJ Tillu fame has a full-fledged role as the father of Kalyani (Chandini). In a comeback role, Tagubothu Ramesh is seen in a cameo as a drunkard who scurries out of the lead pair's dwelling.

Extensive and detailed scripting and pre-production ensured that the shoot was smooth. The end product, as is evident, was perfect, the producer added.

Vikranth Reddy, whose second film this is, was relieved on the morning of the release date upon finding that the BookMyShow bookings for his family entertainer were satisfying. "All the tension I had been going through ended. We have been flooded with positive reviews and reports," the actor said.

In telling the story of a newly-married male suffering from low-sperm count, Santhana Prapthirasthu avoided routine cinematic liberties. From what Chaitanya (Vikranth) does in desperation to save his marriage to how the emotional arc of the story unfolds, everything is tight. "Sheikh Dawood’s experience shows clearly on screen through the screenplay, and Kalyan Raghav’s dialogues are being enjoyed. Ajay Arasada’s BGM and the song ‘Telusa Nee Kosame’ are receiving a superb response in theatres," Sanjeev added.
