Thammudu release trailer: Mystic elements, massive action, sibling drama

The Release Trailer of Thammudu more than serves its purpose. It establishes the film as a larger-than-life story whose centre is a brother and a sister estranged at a young age. A forest with a Divine significance forms the theatre of action. Then there is a blood-curdling, brooding antagonist (Saurabh Sachdeva) who believes in destruction because it would lead to a new creation that can be made to subserve him.

Writer-director Venu Sriram's treatment is contemporary. The audience's hunger for big-scale cinema has been grasped as much by him as by the producers. The trailer begins with Nithiin's character saying that his sister (played by Laya) became his everything after their mother died young. A misunderstanding developed between the two. While the sister's misplaced hate for her brother is strong, the hero's efforts to redeem their relationship is fraught with bloodshed.

Ajaneesh B Loknath admittedly reworked more than half of the run-time to ensure the best possible BGM. The composer of Kantara, Virupaksha and Mangalavaaram is expected to make the jungle stretches a justified theatre experience. KV Guhan's cinematography for the complex stretches is another highlight.

Thammudu is a July 4th release. Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish on Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film features Varsha Bollamma, Sapthami Gowda, Swasika, and Baby Deetya.
