Speaking at the pre-release event of DilRuba earlier this year, Kiran Abbavaram pledged to provide support (be it logistical or financial or both) to aspiring actors and technicians. This sentiment came from a place of genuine concern for those who struggle to enter the film industry for want of connections. Kiran comes from a non-film background.
The KA actor has decided to produce a movie with newcomers in tow. "The SR Kalyanamandapam actor is all set to introduce a newcomer named Sai Tej, who previously worked as a camera assistant on his films, as the lead actor," a source says.
An emotional drama, the film's production journey will begin later this year. Its title and other details will be shared in due course of time. The project will be announced on July 10.
Kiran stated that every journey begins with a dream, a dream that no one believes until it becomes a reality. He added that he started his journey seven years ago, leaving everything behind with one such dream. He then explained his progression, saying, "From short films to feature films and now being able to do as much as I can from the little that I have achieved to turn such dreams into reality through KA Productions." Finally, Kiran expressed his gratitude.
