Hyderabad’s newest thrill: Magic District brings immersive adventure to AMB Mall

If you are tired of the usual movies-and-popcorn routine, Hyderabad just leveled up. Magic District, Asia’s very first multi-theme immersive adventure park, has officially opened its doors on the 6th floor of AMB Sarath City Capital Mall in Kondapur. The project is the brainchild of Tava Srinivas, a National Award winner and Limca Book of Records holder. With 25 years in the industry, Srinivas wanted to prove that Indian innovation could compete on a global scale.

Spanning a massive 38,000 square feet, this isn't your typical "sit back and watch" entertainment. It’s designed to get you on your feet. Instead of watching a story unfold on a screen, you’re literally walking through it, becoming a character in your own adventure. “We wanted to bring world-class, never-before-seen experiences right here to Hyderabad,” Srinivas shared during the launch. The project is a family affair, too—his daughter, Chandana Lipi, actually moved back from the U.S. to serve as the project’s Operations Director.

While seven themes are planned in total, the first phase is launching with four distinct "worlds" designed to cater to everyone from hardcore horror fans to young families:

Zombie City: Think you could survive the apocalypse? This survival adventure puts your escape skills to the test in a city overrun by the undead.

Scary Escapes: A high-stakes team game where you’ll need to solve puzzles and hunt for clues to get out of terrifying rooms.

Scary House: This one is for the adrenaline junkies. Expect live actors, intense sound effects, and genuine scares.

Boo Boo House: Not everything is about heart-pounding terror. This zone is designed specifically for kids, using fun and laughter to help them overcome their fears in a playful, spooky setting.

Director K. Raj Kumar noted that the buzz has been incredible since the doors opened. And they aren't stopping at Hyderabad; Srinivas revealed ambitious plans to roll out 27 different concepts across India in the near future.

Whether you are a student looking for a weekend hang or a tourist visiting the city, Magic District is positioning itself as the new must-visit landmark for anyone looking to step inside a different reality.
