A few years ago, at a film event, Rajendra Prasad emotionally said that the relationship with his daughter, Gayathri, was strained. "She chose love marriage. That's why I don't talk with her," the Nata Kireeti said.
The untimely death of Gayathri has brought that speech back in the news. A YouTube channel went to the extent of making a long-time friend of Rajendra Prasad talk about the nature of equations between the father-daughter duo on Saturday.
"Contrary to the perception, Rajendra Prasad had a loving relationship with his daughter. As a testament to their bond, he invested Rs 3 crore to purchase a house for her in their neighborhood. Moreover, Rajendra Prasad's household provided all of Gayathri's family's daily meals purely out of love," the actor's friend said today. "Gayathri was a healthy person. She had no issues. Gastric trouble is what we thought at first. She was admitted to hospital on Friday afternoon. She breathed her last at night," he added.
Sai Kumar and a few other celebrities have reached Rajendra Prasad's house today.
