'Rowdy Boys', which was released in theatres on January 14, has locked its post-theatrical OTT release date. The film will stream on ZEE5 from March 11. Starring debutant Ashish and Anupama Parameswaran, the Dil Raju production was claimed to have made about Rs 15 Cr (gross) at the box-office.
In his post-release interview, producer Dil Raju said, "Our film grossed Rs 8.5 Cr in the first week. In the second week, it grossed Rs 3.98 Cr in the Telugu States. The youths have completely made their film their own. I am expecting a minimum of more than Rs 2 Cr in the third week. The film is definitely a super-hit for potentially making Rs 15 Cr (gross in AP, Telangana) in its three-week run."
As for Vishal-starrer 'Saamanuyudu', which was released in theatres in the first week of February, it will stream on ZEE5 from March 4. "A common man in anger trying to get down to the bottom of a crime. Will he? (sic)," the OTT platform wrote. The action thriller flopped at the box-office.
