"Out of all the roles I have done so far, Kanmani is one of my favorites. This character will always have a special place in my heart," says Priyanka Mohan, who will be seen as Pawan Kalyan's romantic partner in They Call Him OG. Ahead of the movie's release on September 25th, the Gang Leader and Doctor actress talks about working with Power Star and Sujeeth, why she holds OG in high esteem, and more. She also shares a specific insight about Pawan Kalyan's behaviour before and after becoming the DCM of AP.
In a chit-chat with the media, Priyanka reveals that OG is more than just a gangster action drama, suggesting that a strong family emotion undergirds its core story.
I was roped in for OG 2.5 years back. It has been nothing less than a privilege. It was a blessing working with Pawan Kalyan garu every single day. He is a hero in real life too. Having always heard about his immense popularity, it was a pleasure working with him on OG. He is extremely down-to-earth. After he became the DCM, he appeared more relaxed and smiled more often. He talks about books, in general. He is also into novels. On set, he would discuss history and sometimes movies and politics.
While doing this film was a great opportunity, I also loved the story, which is set in the 1980s and later. Kanmani is innocent and sweet. Gambheera (PSPK's name in the movie) means to the world to her. Due to some incidents and circumstances, she plays an instrumental role in pivoting the course of his life. I am glad that I am part of Suvvi Suvvi, which was the first song to be compoed by Thaman. People are loving it!

Sujeeth is a clear-heard filmmaker. He knows how to get the best from his actors. Everything good about my character and its looks must be credited to him.
DVV Entertainment is a happy banner to work under. I know it, having previously did Saripodhaa Sanivaaram under the production house. The producers, Danayya sir and Kalyan Dasari sir, are wonderful. (Kalyan is Danayya's son and is an aspiring actor himself. He has been instrumental in planning OG's promotions in novel ways).
