Complaint filed with police to halt Bigg Boss Telugu

The popular reality television show, Bigg Boss Telugu, has landed in hot water after a group of individuals lodged a formal complaint with the Jubilee Hills Police Station, demanding that the government take immediate and strict action against the show's organizers.

The complainants, identified as Kammari Srinivas, Raveender Reddy, Sukumar Reddy, Chandrasekhar, and Srinivas, claim the show is sending a "misleading" message to society. The group specifically questioned the message being communicated to the public by including individuals like Divvala Madhuri and Rithu Chowdhary, alleging they do not "uphold family values."

In a stark warning to both the government and the show's creators, the group threatened massive public action if their demands are not met. They pointed to the precedent set in neighboring Karnataka, where a similar action was taken against the show.

A theory is that such complaints are orchestrated as a publicity stunt. Unless the government gets involved and wants something to be banned, nothing happens. A few private groups/outfits/individuals getting worked up about movies/reality shows means nothing. They can launch PILs and all of that but courts rarely move the needle.
