Tamil actor Jayam Ravi has filed a lawsuit against Bobby Touch Gold (BTG) Universal Private Limited, a Coimbatore-based production company, in the Madras High Court. The lawsuit claims that the production company failed to commence filming for two movies as per their agreement, causing Jayam Ravi a financial loss of Rs 9 crore. He is seeking compensation for this loss. The court has ordered the production company to respond to the allegations.
Jayam Ravi's divorce from his wife, Aarti Ravi, has been a prominent topic as well. He announced their separation in September 2024, after 15 years of marriage. He filed for divorce and has also filed a police complaint to recover some of his belongings from Aarti. The divorce battle has been public, with both parties making statements. Aarti denied that the initial divorce announcement was made with her consent, and she has reportedly sought an alimony of Rs 40 lakh per month.
