Chaitanya Jonnalagadda recently shot to fame with Raju Weds Rambai, in which he played a differently-abled, sadistic elder. He had made his debut with Bubblegum in 2023 but that film tanked badly at the box office. Chaitanya is now among the most sought-after artist, reports say.
In a recent podcast, Chaitanya trashed the Nepotism charge many in the film industry face. There is a view that he himself is a product of Nepotism, considering that he landed his first offer because he is the brother of the DJ Tillu actor. Anyways, here is his rant:
"Compared to someone from a small village, someone who is timid and communicationally-challenged, I am privileged because I am English-savvy and all of that. I have been to the US and many other countries. I am fit and that's why filmmakers consider me for different roles. That way, I am more privileged than the average villager. We have our set of privileges and therefore, we can't blame anybody for practising Nepotism. The film industry is a private industry where people take loans to make films. It's up to them who they want to cast. Nepotism talk is the business of incompetent folks," Chaitanya Jonnalagadda said.
