It is known that 'Ponniyin Selvan' director Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan are doing an epic action drama titled 'Thug Life'. Dulquer Salmaan was roped in to play a key role in it.
As per the latest media reports, the 'Mahanati' and 'Sita Ramam' actor has opted out of the project because of the delay in its shoot. He couldn't adjust his dates as per the requirements of his 'Ok Bangaram' maker. DQ, as he is fondly known as, was last year seen in 'King Of Kotha'. He will be seen in a cameo in Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD' later this year (to be released on May 9).
'Thug Life', one of the biggest Tamil films in the making, co-stars Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, among others. Its music is by AR Rahman, the constant Mani Ratnam composer for the past 30 years. Bankrolled by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran, and Siva Ananth, the film will head to theatres in the last leg of this year.
