On Monday, it was announced that Samantha Ruth Prabhu's epic love story 'Shaakuntalam' will head to the theatres on February 17. The Gunasekhar directorial will be released in both 2D and 3D.
This is the fourth film to choose the Maha Shivaratri weekend for a theatrical release. Vishwak Sen's 'Das Ka Dhamki' is already locked. The 'Paagal' and 'Ori Devuda' actor himself is producing the movie.
Then there is Dhanush’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual 'SIR' coming up on February 17. The Venky Atluri directorial is produced by Sithara Entertainments.
Finally, Kiran Abbavaram's 'Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha' has also chosen the same date.
So, there will be four noteworthy releases on Feb 17, unless one of them is postponed.
