It was reported recently that Megastar Chiranjeevi donated Rs. 2 lakhs to Manam Saitham Kadambari Group which was established by Kadambari Kiran Kumar to help poor artists. Chiranjeevi once again proved his kindness. Comedian Gundu Hanumantha Rao recently confessed in a TV show named ‘Ali Tho Saradaga’ that he is suffering from a kidney related issues and he is in urgent need of financial help. Mega Star Chiranjeevi, who came to know about this, extended his support by giving Rs. 2 Lakhs cheque through Movie Artists Association President Shivaji Raja. MAA Joint Secretary Edida Sriram, Cultural Committee Chairman Suresh Kondeti and Executive Member Suresh have personally visited Gundu Hanumantha Rao at Apolo Hospital and given the cheque to the comedian. After receiving the cheque, Gundu Hanumantha Rao called up Chiranjeevi and talked to him with excitement by keeping his health condition aside.
In the same way, veteran comedian Potti Veerayya is facing some financial struggles. Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha, who read about the comedian on a daily newspaper, was saddened and helped his family financially by giving Rs 2 lakhs cheque. Veerayya was invited to MAA office and Shivaji Raja and Edida Sriram have given the cheque to him.
On this occasion, MAA President Shivaji Raja said, “Two days back, Chiranjeevi garu called me and asked me to come to his home urgently. Sriram and I immediately went to Chiranjeevi’s house. He said that Gundu Hanumantha Rao and Potti Veerayya are in dire need of financial help and given Rs 2 cheques of Rs 2 lakhs each. He also asked me to inform who event are in struggle. Not only as MAA President but also as an actor, I am very happy that Chiranjeevi has assured them of his support. Hat off to Chiranjeevi!”
