AR Rahman has been felicitated with Global Music Icon Award in the Mirchi Music Awards South, 2012. Senior Music Director Koti, S P Balasubramanyam, Gangai Amaran presented the award to A R Rahman. Music King A R Rahman thanked all his team members and Producers, Directors who supported him in his journey. SP Balu has also been awarded with “Sangeeth Samrat” award. Suresh Babu and Gangai Amaran presented this award to SP Balasubramanyam along with AR Rahman. Life Time achievement Award was presented to Singer Jamuna Rani by Suresh Babu. Gabbar Singh Sweeps All Major award at Mirchi music awards – Telugu. Rana, Sunitha, Nani, Suresh Babu, Kriti Karbanda, Tanikella Bharani, Devi Sri Prasad, AR Rahman and SP Balasubrahmaniam were the prominent guests in the awards function.
