Kingfisher Ultra Hyderabad International Fashion Week signs off on a fashion high

Designers Shivali Singh, Riyaz Gangji, Mona Pali & Rocky S presented some stunning styles for the finale

Hyderabad, December 22, 2013: As the curtains were drawn on the Kingfisher ULTRA Hyderabad International Fashion Week, designers Shivali Singh, Riyaz Gangji, Mona Pali & Rocky S presented the perfect ode to Hyderabad’s biggest and most premium fashion showcase. The Emperor of Good Times has surely etched a special place in the hearts of the people of Hyderabad with this fabulous ensemble of fashion, music & good times.

Opening the show for the Grand Finale was designer Shivali Singh who wowed the onlookers with her ‘Drama Queen’ collection. The collection was dedicated to the lady who appreciates the finer things in life and has an eye for detail which is just not limited to fashion but her total style statement. The fabrics used in this collection were opulent and radiate fine quality such as Duchesse Satin, Chiffon, Muslin and Batistes. Free flowing drapes for women who is comfortable with her body, ruled the collection. Showstopper Sania Mirza scorched the ramp as they walked for her show.

Raising the tempo of the evening further was the collection presented by Riyaz Gangji. The collection showcased beautiful artwork of design, defining the aesthetic beauty of Indian costume and fashion. The collection entitled “Nizams” inherits the elements of royal costumes from ancient Indian interpreted in contemporaries’ forms of silhouettes, colors and styles that includes couture shervanis with richness of silk threads and velvets. Accessorized with beautiful broaches, turbans and dramatic silhouettes of bottoms, the collection portrayed the urban age experimental man in terms of fashion and style, and complimenting lehngas with the royal touch of Zari and Gota. Apart from this royal elegance, in his very own style the designer presents before you sharp and bold charm of western wear in form of suits presenting the trend of power dressing and gowns which defines the feminine charm. The showstopper for Riyaz Ganji’s collection Humsa Nandini (Telugu Actress) carried the design with elegance and panache.

Mona Pali was the third designer to showcase her collection for the evening. The collection was a blend of modern and contemporary style having its roots in Indian heritage and collection. A fusion of contrasting colours, cuts, fabrics and ethnic crafts, the collection was a must watch. Zardosi and thread work blended with handlooms woven and transformed into unique dimensions was the highlight of the collection. Soft flowing and sensual silhouettes will be marked the collection. Showstoppers Mrs India International Reet Sahu & Ushoshi Sengupta, Miss India Universe 2010, scorched the ramp as they walked for her show.

Grand finale designer Rocky S wowed the audience with his collection that draws inspiration from the dramatic splendour of mystery. The mystery of dark, unfolds itself in subtle affluence, amalgamated in the intricacies of exaggerated textures and layers. Keeping the signature “Black" aligned, the collection renovates the genesis of colour black, recreating the aura of dark medieval age of Fashion which is all about lavishness, seduction, gorgeous contours of femininity. Meera Chopra walked the ramp as the showstopper in an awe striking piece adding further sensuality to the show.

Staying true to form, The Emperor of Good Times, Kingfisher ULTRA brought the fashion revelry to a close with a pulsating after party. The crème–de-la-crème of the city engaged in delightful conversations in the company of Kingfisher ULTRA while DJ Whosane got the party crazy crowd to swivel on their feet. Among those seen at the Kingfisher ULTRA Lounge having a good time were popular faces from the fashion fraternity.
