About Taare Zameen Par (RTI Week Activity): Taare Zameen Par is a Drawing & Painting competition Round Table India conducts for Specially Gifted Children, on Children’s day. As the title suggests, it is an event inspired from the famous movie, where in a child’s passion is considered above his academic capabilities and his feelings are valued more than his marks in his exams. Children from Schools who cater to their special needs are transported to the venue and are encouraged to take part in the competition. All the material for the competition is provided by Round Table India members. All the children are entertained with Balloon Twisters, Magicians, Music and Dance and then served with refreshments and lunch. The winners are given prizes and all the children who participate are given participation certificates alongth a big goody hamper while leaving the venue. All the members of Round Table India along with their spouses and children volunteer for this special event and the entire activity is completely free for all the participating schools and children.
For the world, these children are differently gifted. At Round Table India, we feel they are definitely gifted. These children dwell in a beautiful world of their own. Devoid of number crunching pressures. No deadlines. Just the pleasure of enjoying the moment. No ghosts of the past as memories, No phantoms of the future as worries. The sheer joy of living for the moment.
Taare Zameen Par in Hyderabad:
This year around 4000 children will participate in this event in Hyderabad. The event is being held at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium at Yousufguda on the 14th November 2017. The timing of the event is from 9AM onwards till 3PM. Transportation Buses are being organised, for all children and teachers to be picked up from all participating school. They will be taken to the venue for the competition. The children will settle down in their designated places and will be given stationery for the competition. Post this lunch packets will be distributed as winners are announced for prize distribution. Area 9 Chairman: Tr. Vivek Maheshwari will helm this entire affair along with all the members of Round Table. They are also supported by the members of Ladies Circle India in this cause.
