Hyderabad, March 23, 2017…… The Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association, HYSEA, an apex body of more than 300 IT, ITES companies and represents software industry in the state held its flagship event "25th Annual HYSEA Summit and Software Products Awards”. The daylong Summit and Awards evening held in the city at Cyber City Conventions, Kondapur today.
Through this flagship event, HYSEA highlights and recognizes exciting start-ups in various categories with the product awards.

Virinci Technologies bagged Best Indian IT SME Company. Virtusa(India)Pvt. Ltd and GE (India) Exports Pvt. Ltd bagged Best Indian IT Services Company in Rs 100 to 500 crore category and CA Technologies Pvt. Ltd in Best MNC IT services Company category.
Microsoft got adjudged as the TOP MNC IT exporter, Google the fastest growing IT company and Infosys, Tech Mahindra and Tata Consultancy Services bagged Top IT Exporters Award.
CSR Awards were presented to Honeywell Technology Solutions, Wells Fargo Interprise Global Services and CPersistent Systems.
Best Software Product in Cosumer Solutions(Early Stage) has gone to Paymatrix for their product Paymatrix. Windowsquare got Best Gadget or device Award for their product Talking Standee. Primeauth India Pvt Ltd was adjudged as the Best Software Product in Student Category.
A Key Award Category ‘HY10—Hyderabad's Hot 10 new Startups. Paymatrix; Callfree Infotainment; Gayam Motor Works; Ebutor Distribution; Bulbul Apps; Enmovil Solutions; Stumagz; H-Bots; FDood 4 Thought Foundation and Recycled India were adjudged as the Hot 10 Startups.
These ten startups entails apart from the recognition, also benefits from precise enablement planned through mentoring, market connect and investor access. This year the winners of Hyderabad's 10 hottest startups receive Mentorship, Technology Enablement, Bootcamp Opportunity, Market and Investor Access by T-Hub, IIIT-H, Hyderabad Angels, T-Fund, IIIT Seed Fund and TiE Hyderabad and HYSEA member companies
Speaking on the occasion Katherine B. Hadda, Consul General, U.S. Consulate said Hyderabad is a dynamic place. Innovation is the important part of DNA of Hyderabad. City has huge talent. City is full of dynamic thinkers. Entrepreneurship and Innovation is the important part of DNA of our country, she said.
Ranga Pothula, President of HYSEA said a full day Design Summit was organised to create a product culture. More than 1500 people participated. 75 Startups exhibited their products or services.
CVD Ramprasad, Director of STPI Hyderabad said India has become 2nd most connected nation in the world. It is the 3rd largest Startup Ecosystem. We have 200 angel and venture capitalists and 4200 startups in India. These Startups are expected grow to 10,000 by 2021.
Speaking on the occasion Amit Sharma, Global COO, IBM GBS (Global Business Services) said we are at the cusp of new era where speed of innovation matters. Make innovations accessible to SMEs, he said.
Design Summit was a part of HYSEA Summit & Awards. It is the most prestigious Industry event of the city, as it showcases the buzzing innovation culture, increase in Startups and Startup support activities in Hyderabad. More than 150 Startups, 150 leaders from IT industry, 1500 delegates attended the event which featured keynotes from CEOs of IT majors and leading Startups.
More than 130 products under various categories such as Consumer Startup; Enterprise Startup; Established Products; Best Technology Innovation; Social Impact; Student Startup; Best Gadget/Device competed, disclosed Ranga Pothula, President of HYSEA.
The nominations were received from Startups, Product Companies and Services Companies who involved in process innovations, Ranga stated.
The theme of this year Summit was "Design Intelligence", Exploring Design, Automation and Intelligence and its impact on how future technologies will evolve, Ranga Pothula added.
The main idea behind the theme was celebrating design in any of its forms was the main idea of Design Summit. It brought Designers, Creators, Entrepreneurs and Friends together to build momentum and opportunity around their unique entrepreneurial identity. Design talks, showcasing attractive designs and products, un-conference sessions discussing design, design awards, and a maker pavilion/design showcase all added to the event Ranga Pothula informed
There were four themes in the Design Summit 2017 such as., Imagining technologies, Drawing Cashless Economy, Designing the future and Weaving Innovation into Mainstream, Ranga added. This year Design Summit saw marquee designers, founders and creators in talks and panel discussions.
Giving details about HYSEA and its journey, Ranga Pothula informed that HYSEA is the most vibrant state level industry association in India. It is a pioneering industry initiative dating back to 1991, which brings together the various IT and ITES Organizations in Hyderabad, under one umbrella to network, share knowledge and work in close collaboration with the Government and other stakeholders for business growth, social development and economic prosperity of the state
This year HYSEA and STPI together brought the start-ups, established product and services companies, and the investor community to celebrate the rise of start-ups in Hyderabad. With young and upcoming start-ups getting a boost, the start-up's count in Hyderabad is now believed to be around 1800 and growing, Ranga Pothula stated.
The Shortlisted Award finalists were invited to the Expo to showcase their products, with an opportunity to interact with CIOs, VCs, Engel investors and other industry/e-government decision makers. A panel of leading entrepreneurs, business leaders, Venture Capitalists (VCs) and academicians assessed the product presentations.
