Two day luxury wedding expo, “The Wedding Vows Show” kicked off today

Hyderabad, July 23, 2016: A two day Luxury Wedding Expo—The Wedding Vows Show to kicked off here in city at The Westin Hyderabad at Madhapur on Saturday and will conclude with a Fashion show on 24th Sunday evening.

Neeta Lulla, an Indian costume designers and fashion stylist who has worked on over 300 films and who has been designing wedding dresses for last 30 years inaugurated the show. Speaking on the occasion she said Hyderabad has arrived on Fashion Circuit. The exhibition which I have inaugured is the shoppers delight, she said. There is everything to everybody she added.

The Chennai based Wedding Vows, a pan India magazine dedicated for wedding industry is organizing the show along with The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace.

34 Wedding Brands and many others showcased their products in the expo informed Dakshina Murthy, MD of Wedding Vows, the organization behind the show.

Wedding Fashion is fast spreading to smaller cities in Telugu States, which is evident from the fact that Sirisha Reddy, a B. Tech students turned fashion designer from Kurnool is not only taking part in the Wedding Show but has unveiled her own label “Sirisha Reddy”. I am good in creativity. I had experienced initial success and made some money. When I designed Siricreations an online platform for Allu Arjun and Pawan Kalayan, it has got overwhelming response and had one lakh likes. That gave me confidence to pursue my urge for Fashion Designing. I have started with Rupees ten lakhs supported by my father. I would like to open soon a boutique one each in Hyderabad, Kurnool and Bangalore, informed Sirisha.

Speaking on the occasion Dakshina Murthy said they chose Hyderabad for the show because of its potential. The potential of the wedding industry in this city is Rs 8000crore per annum. Nearly four lakh weddings take place in twin cities every year. Out of these 2000 of 2500 are fat weddings, where Rs 5 lakh to 5 crore is spent. So, the city is hub for weddings in South, he sai.d

The two day fair is showcasing the best wedding brands. The profile of the exhibitors include Wedding Planners, Jewellery, Wedding Photography, Invites, Clothing Designers, Beauty & Cosmetics, Food & Catering, Tourism & Travel, Wedding Service Providers. This is our second show after Chennai. We will take this show all over India, he informed.

Pitara by Radhika who is also showcasing her new line up at the fashion show; DnD with her unique online jewelry concept; Friends - Exclusive Designer Invitations; Purpleeyedes -Décor partner; Archana Kochhar Designs Store from Mumbai; Vijyalakshmi Silks - a Silk Mark certified brand for its Silks Sarees since 1920 from Bangalore; B.M.Silks, a leading name in the world of Kanchipuram Silk Sarees; Iluush -- Mens Designer Studio; Knotty Diaries, a high-end boutique studio specializing in wedding photography; Utppalakshi- an exclusive silk store from Chennai; Vivanth Jewelers from Bangalore with their exquisite collection of Jewelry etc; Zoticus Wedding Photography; by Diosa by Nita Goel, Sirisha Reddy, an upcoming designer from Kurnool; Pixels Cue Wedding Photography; Smink Up, make up service provider and First impression by Bhavna Jasra with a unique concept involving casting of hand and feet expressions in metal finishes like gold and silver, among others.

The Westin Hotel who is the joint host, is pursuing to promote city as well as their property as the destination for weddings.

Some of the highlight of the show are a wedding cards design company showcased wedding cards each costing Rs 1200 and 1800/-.

Karishma and Company displayed Versac, premium range of Dinner set which costs Rs 25000/- and above. The costliest dinner set they sell is rupees three lakh.

Sri Koundinya, who left his cosy job with SKY TV in UK to start a Wedding Photography here in city. Wedding photos and cinematic films are what we do, he said. We have done well over 100 films so far, each of 5 to 7 minutes duration. And each costs anywhere from 3.5 lakh to 12 lakhs, he said.

The Czarina of Indian Fashion,Neeta Lulla will do the Finale for the show with her exclusive line up of exquisite bridal wear and jewelry from PC Jewelers. Neeru’s, one of the country’s leading women’s wear brand will open the 2nd slot of the fashion show.

Other designers who will showcase their collection at the Fashion show are VR Pitara by Radhika, from Hyderabad, who will showcase her bridal collection, I Luush grooms wear by Mahesh Gildda, who will showcase his bespoke grooms wear collection and Vijayalakshmi silks from Bangalore who will showcase a new line of wedding silk sarees.

Bollywood sensation Urvashi Rautela will be the show stopper for designer Archana Kochhar, and many more showstoppers to surprise the audience.
